This horse has developed a posture whereby her back is pulled down behind the wither, she is prominent in her sternum. She is high in her head carriage, high in her croup, and straight through her hind leg. All are related.
Note the muscle atrophy in front of, and behind the withers, and the angular shape of the hindquarters. This is a result of the saddle blocking the horses’ ability to lift his back and therefore to use his hind legs correctly
The underdeveloped muscles of this fit horse give him a very lean angular appearance. Not to be confused with fitness.
